A Grand Acropolis Tour: The Longest Athens City Walk
Get ready for our longest and most breathtaking walk yet! This is a complete circular tour, starting and ending at the quiet pedestrian street of Ipitou in Plaka, right by Syntagma Square.
We'll wander through the peaceful alleys of Plaka, past stunning neoclassical buildings, before climbing up to the hidden gem of Anafiotika, nestled at the foot of the Acropolis. From there, we ascend Areopagus Hill to enjoy a truly unique view of the Acropolis from a very special angle.
The journey continues as we descend to the historic Dionysiou Areopagitou Street, passing by the enchanting Thiseion Open-Air Cinema, where you’ll find one of the best cinema views in the world—right under the Acropolis. We’ll loop back through the Ancient Agora area and the bustling streets of Plaka, catching sight of the magnificent Athens Metropolitan Cathedral.
